About This Quote

I often wonder what happened to those few I spend my youth in battle beside, those select individuals whom I was drawn to simply by coincidence, whom I joined forces with against an unknown future and a world so large that we depended upon each other because none of us knew a damn thing, and we were all so wise. This is one of the best quotes in my opinion. It shows how important it is to be in the right place at the right time. It also shows how much you should rely on people when you are young. Some people might think that when they are young they can do anything but this is not always true.

If you are not in the right place at the right time then you might miss out on something really great. For example imagine if I was in high school when Nelson Mandela was released from prison. I might have missed out on the opportunity to read this quote when it came out or I might have missed out on meeting Nelson Mandela later in life. If these things did not happen then I would have missed out of a lot of great things that happened along the way. Another example is of a book called "How To Be Happy".

This book was written by Dr. Eric Berne who was a psychotherapist who spent his life trying to figure out, “How people become happy?” In his book he talks about various ways of becoming happy. One of these ways is how getting into the right place at the right time can make someone become happy for a lifetime.

He describes this as being “in harmony” with yourself and your environment. He goes on to explain that many people live their lives without being in harmony with themselves or their surroundings due to negative experiences from their childhoods or early adulthoods. He says that, “When we were children, we found ourselves living in a big world whose shape remained unknown until later on, while our parents tried to teach us about its contours by way of punishment or reward." In other words, our parents did not understand how little we understood them and what they expected from us until much later on in life.

Many times parents try to force their children into doing things they cannot do and this often ends up driving them away from the parent and making them feel like they need to do things themselves instead of doing what their parents want them to do (such as college) . So getting into harmony with yourself and your environment usually does not happen until much later in life or after certain
